-Flora story

Back in Los Angeles, I pressed and air-dried flower petals of the flowers I grew in the small garden that I built myself. I would put them up on the wall hangings I made and use them with the abstractly crocheted coasters I crocheted. The flowers were everywhere around me anywhere I went, and I learned to be and live with nature that surrounded us. I named Flora after these years of my art-making with wool and wool blend yarns.

Flora Wall Hanging is made with pure wool yarn with a touch of synthetic wool yarn. It is attached to a tree branch I find in Central Park. I work with seasonal flowers and dry them in my studio; some flowers are grown here locally in New York City. Each is a unique and organic work of mine, and I mindfully knit the wall hanging and decorate the flowers on it for you. I hope Flora Wall Hanging delivers a sense of nature to you and your loved ones.
